Full day leaded stained glass workshop
For regular class attendees who have mastered the skill of Tiffany method stained glass, we can progress to leaded work. You may then use what you have learnt to make leaded pieces in class.
All materials and use of tools and the studio is included in the price, as are refreshments. Feel free to bring your own tools and any glass you wish to use.
The day commences at 9.30 am with a brief chat about the main differences between the two techniques of the Tiffany and leaded method. We move swiftly onto cutting the glass, using a template for a simple small panel. We look at the build of a stained glass panel, using horseshoe nails to hold the glass and then solder the lead came holding the piece together. Finally we polish and consider how to display adding loops for a hanging panel or discussing stands. The day ends around 4.30pm with you taking away your completed project.
